 I completely agree with this. I’ve grown up in the Catholic Church and since distanced myself for these types of reasons. I hate that certain people choose to pinpoint passages and preach that this is the way God sees everything. Instead I think every Christianneeds to reread the entire bible and realize some passages contradict themselves, especially from the old testament to the new. If you believe in God then you know that he loves you no matter what, and your usually okay if you stick with the commandments. And even then if you confess your sins and do your penance you are supposedly forgiven. Religion is such a touchy subject with almost everyone. Why can’t we just act like hippies and everyone be happy, peaceful, loveful toward one another?
